HELLO, I AM MARCIA TAYLOR, owner, director and principal instructor of The Dance Studio of Kirksville and The Dance Studio of Iowa. For the past several years we have had 20 or more dancers from Macon come to Kirksville to take classes and have been asked to bring our high quality dance program to Macon and surrounding communities.
Macon is a progressive, student-oriented community that appreciates and supports the arts and deserves a fully professional dance studio, and that is what we have brought to Macon. We offer classes in jazz, ballet, tap, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, music theater, boys only, as well as private instruction.
Classes in Macon are taught by the highest quality dance instructors in the tri-state area. Morgan Carnes, former Truman State University Show Girls Dance Team featured dancer and former Kirksville High School Dance Team Captain and 4-year member, has won numerous individual regional and national dance competition awards and has taught award-winning dancers for the past eight years. Morgan is a Dance Team, Poms, Hip Hop specialist who also excels in Tap and Lyrical/Contemporary and winner of the Miss Kansas City Outstanding Teen and Miss Gateway to the West (St. Louis) Outstanding Teen and a Top 10 Finalist at Miss Missouri. I earned my Degree in Dance from the Conservatory of Music and Dance at University of Missouri-Kansas City and am a former college dance instructor and Miss Missouri and Kansas City Chiefette.
Our dance program is affordable to all families and we welcome all students and their families to the DANCE STUDIO family. Our Schedule of Classes follows here, and you can register online in 2-3 minutes.
